Empire Podcast: Patrick Bet David

Scope Bedros Keuilian needed a professionally produced interview episode for The Empire Podcast featuring Patrick Bet-David. The goal was to capture an extended conversation (56+ minutes) about entrepreneurship, economic strategy, and mindset for Bedros's audience of fitness business owners and entrepreneurs. This required multi-camera coverage to maintain visual interest across a long-form discussion and studio-quality audio for both host and guest. Process I set up a 3-camera studio configuration at Bedros's Fit Body Boot Camp headquarters in Chino Hills using three Canon C200 cinema cameras. Mic'd both subjects with lavs, recorded audio direct to camera cards for sync. The 3-camera approach allowed for cutting between angles (wide, singles on each subject) to keep the extended conversation visually dynamic. After the shoot, I edited the full 56-minute episode in Final Cut Pro, managing the multi-camera footage and cutting for pace while maintaining the natural flow of their discussion. Solution The final episode delivered a polished, broadcast-quality interview that performed well for Bedros's channel (36K+ views). The multi-camera edit kept viewers engaged through an hour-long conversation, and the clean audio/visual presentation matched the professional standard expected for high-level entrepreneurial content. The piece positioned both Bedros and Patrick as authorities while delivering substantial value to the audience on topics like surviving economic downturns and building business empires.
